These are vintage Charles and Ray Eames Bikini Chairs from the 1950s. They are original DKR (dining height, k-wire shell, rod iron base) chairs with the wire cross weave of enameled steel and Eiffel base the Eames are known for. This cross weave keeps them very strong and stable but lightweight. The first DKR chairs were produced in 1951. These chairs were produced by Herman Miller, and the original labels are on each. This pair has their original turquoise or teal leather cushions and feet. They are in excellent condition. Note, as with all vintage Bikini Chairs the snaps are unsnapped. Size: 19.00″W x 19.00″D x 32.75H. Must be picked up. The item “One Pair of Vintage Eames Bikini Chairs” is in sale since Wednesday, January 2, 2013.
